Treatment & recovery
If surgery is right, you are supported through it and the recovery that follows.
Treatment, referrals and cost
If you are paying for yourself, no referral is needed. If you are using private insurance, your insurer may ask for one before authorising treatment. Call 01908 014 486 if you are unsure.
Self-pay consultations are £250 (new) and £175 (follow-up). Procedure costs are confirmed after your consultation. Most insured patients are covered, subject to their policy.
Most patients are offered a consultation within about a week across our three hospitals.
Not necessarily. Many foot and ankle problems settle with non-surgical treatment. Surgery is recommended only when it is the right option for you.
One of our two consultant foot and ankle surgeons, Professor Arul Ramasamy or Mr Joel Humphrey. You are not handed to a trainee.
